In my
previous article, I sought to establish that Jesus’ Second Coming is, indeed, very relevant to our generation
now. I did not, however, provide much application... what does it actually
mean for us, here and now, for it to be relevant? In other words... what are we to do, knowing that we are in the beginning of the transition period that will end when Jesus establishes His…

"Studying Jesus' Second Coming has no real impact on us, now, and is therefore irrelevant."
I hear this all too often, or something similar. I'm sure you have too, or maybe that is your belief and you have said it yourself? I believe that this is not only an un-Biblical, but a very dangerous position to hold as a Christian in this day and age.
Some will have objections to this, of course... probably the strongest being from the camp of Preterism, who in a nutshell belie…

Wow, I can't believe that today is already the last day of our time here in Airlie... It has been a blast getting to know the DTS at the
Whitsunday base, as well as stay in their beautiful house. We started off the week with school programs at
Whitsunday Christian College, the kids loved us as Nicole talked about God being our father, using "Finding Nemo" and an analogy. We also got the ch…

So, we are just a week an a half away from heading to Papua New Guinea for our first outreach and I am once again blown away by God's generosity toward me and the generosity of those I know!! In the past week I have seen over $1500 come in in donations towards getting me to PNG! I love that God always provides for all that I need, I even found out that I needed to get my passport renewed before I could go just last week and the money for that came in too!!
As a team we are still needing to see…

"I have been writing this volume while residing in Germany for a teaching trip. I am humbled by penning these 95 theses in the same country as Martin Luther did many years ago. I submit these to the evangelical church of our day and pray that God would allow anything of truth in these pages to bend and change men's hearts back to God." - Greg Gordon -

We were really stoked to be able to catch up with a lot of you on different stops of our tour. Thanks so much for those of you that came out to our shows! The focus of our tour was to grow our influence as bands and to use that influence to raise awareness for the health issues in Papua New Guinea. We were also able to empower people to make a real and practical difference by offering a few ways for them to be involved with the YWAM Marine Reach medical ship that will be heading to PNG next year…

A couple posts ago we mentioned about the really exciting opportunity we have to reach out to the youth in Townsville through a program called "Youthstreet"
Well since we have been here, we not only have had the chance to reach out to the youth here that way. But we have had the privilege recently to help out with a city wide skate/bmx/scooter competition/music festival called
"Against the Grind" that people from our base and the Townsville City Council started up!
It was such an exciting thin…

Hey friends :)
I feel God calling me to GO for Him. My heart is already overseas.
I am going to be going on a two week missions trip to Germany in the spring of 2010. The entire trip is through my church and will cost 2,500. I am planning on staying after the trip is "over" though for about 6 months. (The latter part is still being worked out, thus is not set in stone yet.) I have felt a calling to missions for forever and fell in love with Germany at age 8. This is an enormous opportunity for m…

I know it has been a long time since I updated this, things have been kinda crazy around here the past 3 weeks, in a good way, but it has left my time for updating my page to very little!
The school is trucking along and I am having a blast getting to know 36 new people and seeing God do amazing things in their lives already. We are in week 4 of lectures and are learning all about Missions this week, what does it mean to be 'in' missions and looking at the need around the world. It ties in real…

We as a DTS went out recently to Townsvilles Billabong Sanctuary!
For those of you who dont know what that is, its a wildlife sanctuary located right outside of townsville where you can really get hands on interaction with authentic aussie animals like koalas, wombats, snakes, and crocs!
We had TONS of fun, and some of the students even overcame their fear of snakes....kind of...but dont take MY word for it. check out the photos!!
( for more photos check out our main page! )…

Hi everyone!
Our July DTS has been on outreach for two weeks now and we have already heard back from them some simply amazing stories! New Zealand team visited a local church in New Zealand where we were invited to lunch with the congregation to the pastor’s home. They enjoyed the fellowship and built relationship with the community there. They also had their first visit to a local high school and gave a presentation to promote next year’s ship tour and, that evening, were able to organize youth…

Hey everyone!
Just thought I’d give you a quick update on the last few weeks. The first week we had lectures in the morning just learning about all the safty procedures rules and standers ect ect. At the end of the week we found out what ministry areas around the base we would be working in. I got assigned to Community Life or Comm life as we like to call it. The base directors wife Robyn had a meeting with me later that day and asked me to be the ministry area leader for comm life. She said to…
