im not a lawyer, doctor, or a candlestick maker. My skills are of a different type. They have to do with understanding people and motives, and the pleasure I get is from watching people discover themselves in ways they never thought possible and from finding people who bring to the table talents I dont have

Stephanie is on staff ,....staffing the October DTS!!!
But used to work in the communications/media office

Shes kind of weird. but in simple terms shes a:

Missionary ...( although her job mostly doing graphic design on a computer NOT in a 3rd world country)
A Photograher... (although she doesnt really like to give herself that title)
A Skater... ( longboarding more specifically...and also. shes not that good )
Passionate for the arts.... ( though she can take breaks from it at times)
shes a bit of a realist,.. (and a bit of an idealist)
shes a dreamer... (she can get excited very quick over discussing a fun idea with friends)
shes a pretty big fan of the outdoors ( you can pretty much plop her down anywhere with a good view of the sky. day or night rain or shine. and shell be a happy girl )

Steph is also not sure why she's talking about herself in the third person...

I'm less into the traditional parts of an "active lifestyle" like running marathons, mountain biking or football and more drawn to non-activities...although i AM hoping casually riding a longboard by the beach becomes a sport in time for the bejing olympics...but trying hard to be funny keeps me entertained and burns a surprising amount of calories

Life. A pretty broad subject.

Lately iv heard the phrase
"what are you planning on doing with your life?"
thrown around alot. and especially being in YWAM. i get this question alot more than most (being a non profit organization, i dont get paid, so surely i cant live like this forever right?......right???)
Well iv been thinking alot about what it means to " do something with your life" and ive come to a short list of things i can answer with. maybe not the answer they want. but a response i am happy with none the less

so w… Continue

Youthstreet Crew Diving Deeper

Oh! What an adventure!

A couple days ago a group of 5 staff and 12 youthstreet crew just got home from the trip no one could have said they expected.
For the last 3 years we have been running a camp called " Deeper " the aim is exactly that. To go deeper with God in a real, passionate. and intense way

This year our trip started out by driving nearly 20 hours overnight in a 20 person bus, And with many pitstops and silly songs later we reached our destination of Easterfest in Toowoomba ( former… Continue

Desparation

Desperation......This topic really has seemed to come up alot lately. at Youthstreet, Church, Staff Meeting and now my quiet time. So this gave me a desire to outwardly prossess all thats been going on in my head.

The main point I was challenged with is, are we REALLY desperate for Jesus, are we so Desperate for a relationship with God that everything but spending time with him seems dull and mundane and you cant even fathom choosing something else over a good, quality hang out time with Jesus.… Continue

The importance of Passion

"We have forgotten the importance of passion, and traded it for reason and life plans that have nothing to do with how God made us and everything to do with what society expects from us..." - Lis Grozell

Lately i've had alot of time to think to say the least...
i have found peace and quiet and peice of mind in townsville streets of all places. its suprising of how close a refuge is amongst the constant noise.
And if you know me. If I have alot of time to think. I start learning th… Continue

Oops. this is a repeat....I deleted it by accident

its true that those we meet can change us, sometimes so profoundly that we are not the same afterwards.

I woke up today without that 5 million pound boulder of stress on my chest , aside from being ridiculously tired i felt pretty alright, by the time my morning brain wore off from a short morning nap on the couch 5 minutes after i woke up. I thought,

you know what? I'm just going to let today be today, I'm going to wake up this morning with a smile on my face, look in the mirror brush my tee… Continue
