At a special Thanksgiving ceremony, YWAM Reef to Outback staff celebrated friends, family, and of course - all of the wonderful things that happened in the last year of serving here in Australia. To remind us of some of the fun stories and victories along the way, the lovely Joanna Orpia put...

GOD, Yahweh-God, is so good and I praise His Name for groups like YWAM who work hard to get real saving personal faith into young people. I my own denomination, in all of Canada, Camrose Lutheran Bible Institute, is all we have put together. I guess that's why in North America, though not world wide, we are shrinking in members as our young graduate to life with no real faith to live by or protect them.
I live north of you by many miles and across the border, (say at Niagara Falls) then on for another 3 and a half or four hours by car. I live 50 miles south of the Canadian city of North Bay, Ontario. There are Messianic congregations in Toronto but regular attendance is not possible. As Christians we should look to the Jewishness of our Lord Jesus and think hard on our relationship with God's Chosen people.
Shalom,
Rick
I fell into an appreciation of the Jewish roots of the faith I had in Jesus by discovering a Jewish group Lema'an Zion who speak out on the political truths of the middle east problem and also do charitable work among the poor who have emigrated to Israel (Aliyah). I studied a lot and found out that much of Christian tradition is in lace due to Christian anti-Semetism. My life in the church has taught me that Christians are oh so very human and so are Jews. One good book is "The Trouble with Christians, The Trouble with Jews" by Zola Levitt. I would love to experience life in a messianic Jewish synagogue, but the nearest is 300km away.
Shalom, Rick
That's cool. I love photography myself. Haven't studied it in school but exploring the web you can find heaps of sites that will give you advice and practice for free.
Are you looking into doing a DTS here?
