How are things going in Isa? I sure do miss Beverly Lane, and the kids, and you guys! I'm praying for you guys, really. Not just in the polite christian sense but Mt. Isa and your efforts there will always be in my heart. Love ya man!
I do want to go back to NY. I'm just not certain of what God has planned for me. I thought I was and I ended up in Mt Isa so really, anything could happen!
Would like to be involved with you guys on some level while I'm here anyway. How long have you been here? And what on earth brought you to Mt Isa?
What ages of kids are you working with? God has called me to inner city children's ministry.. and I have been playing around with thoughts about doing that at some point in Mt. Isa. Right now though I am finishing up my last semester of uni, studying Bible and Missions. I am a leader for an inner city kids club (ages 4-13) that meets on Friday nights. I think of it as training/preparing me for what God has planned for me in the future. That's why I am interested in what you guys have going with kids in the Isa.
Saturday Night Live sounds like it would be pretty cool.... During my outreach team's 3 weeks in the Isa we went to Jack's 3 nights every week, so a total of 9 nights... During those 9 nights that we were there we never once saw a fight happen. It was almost difficult for me to believe what everyone was saying about fights happening there every night!
It really does sound like God is doing a lot in the Isa! That is so wonderful to hear!! :)
