About Me:

I have been part of Youth With a Mission for 13 years now - I was a secondary English/Geography teacher before that...so teaching is in my veins.

My personal passions include Jesus, people and the nations. I also really enjoy anything creative and artistic, and of course I love to teach!!

Outreach Anyone - update

Exciting news - I am one step closer to being on outreach - I have a ticket!! Amazing story - again God's amazing grace, but I have a seat!!

I am down to needing to see about $500 come in to cover the rest of the costs!! I shouldn't be surprised by God's faithfulness, but it seems I always am!!

Saving babies

What an amazing adventure it is to be part of training up young people for the nations. We graduated our October DTS and Introduction to Primary Health Care (IPHC) schools a week and a half ago. I am always amazed at what God does in and through our teams.

I have to admit, I have a real soft spot for our IPHC schools – don’t get me wrong – I LOVE our DTS’s, but there is something quite special about the IPHC. For a start – you get a bunch of very mercy hearted people together, you then send the… Continue

Outreach anyone??

An opportunity has come up for me to be able to go on outreach with one of our outreach teams. It has all been a bit of a roller coaster as I have tried to work out the time. At one stage it looked like it wasn't going to happen as my mum needs to have knee surgery at the same time....but just like the Lord....he has provided a way in the midst of what seemed to be an impossible situation. I am looking at heading to Indonesia for a couple of weeks to work with the outreach team, catch up with so… Continue

Camping visit!! Rainforest, running water....AND....HUMIDITY!! So much fun in so little time!
Ken, Mike, Rebekah and I headed up to the October campsite to catch up with the IPHC and DTS. It was a great day - hot, humid and at times - bucketing down!!! Fun was had by all!!

Jo! How have you been?! Rowan is actually a baby girl. It's funny because Tamara said the same thing - she said "Rowan" is strictly a boys name in Australia, but it can be a male or female name here. I guess it'll get her into some trouble if we move back there!
