G'day and Welcome!!!

Here is a bit about who I am..

I have been a part of YWAM Townsville now for almost 5 years working as a full time volunteer. I came over from New Zealand for the 6 month October 03 Discipleship Training School (DTS). during this time my life was changed as my relationship with God became alive. My Heart and Passion for him was awakened and I have been ruined for life in the ordinary.

My passion is to see young and old discipled and encounter a relationship with God. This was really birthed during my DTS and Outreach experience and has lead me to be involved in many DTS's, Outreach trips around the world, and involvement in seeing a large evangelistic campaigns here in the North Queensland called Impact World Tour.

I have just finished Leading the Jan 2009 Discipleship Training School (DTS), where we sent 5 teams out on outreaches in North Queensland, Darwin, Bali, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, South Australia and East Timor. It has been awesome seeing all that God done in just 6 months. Praise the Lord!!! So now I am leading the current July Staff Internship and looking to head home for some time with Family and friends soon too. Here are some photos from the last 6 months.

After 5 years of ministry, This is the most exciting time to be involved in what God is doing!!



And the greatest thing about it is that there is so many ways you can be involved. Its even as simply as helping collect used glasses and sending them here. We will get them cleaned -> check the prescription -> then give them out to the people in PNG, matching the glasses with each person individually. How cool is that!!

Camping Back at Hidden Valley!!!

Well you might have heard about the cyclone that was on our coast the last couple of days. I actually found out about it while we were up camping as a DTS, 53 people camping in an area that has had the highest rainfall in all of australia with 3.38m (yes thats Meters) of rain since this January!!! I'm sure you can understand why we didn't waste much time getting everything packed up and left camping almost straight after lunch and packed down camp in just over 2 hours. Hey, Buddy! Stephanie said she'd tell you, but I wanted to post just in case! :) My Sydney flight was delayed 24hrs, so it looks like I'll be taking the Virgin Blue flight at 9:50 on Saturday, which should get me to Townsville at 12ish. I'll try my best to call you when I get in at Sydney!

Hey Buddy...don't know if this is any more an effective way of reaching you than email but thought i'd cover both bases. Basically I'm stuck in London at the moment and I won't be flying out until tomorrow (Friday) now. I'll be on the same Virgin Blue flight to Townsville as I would have been on Friday...except it'll be Sunday at 12:45pm. If you guys could be praying that there are no further delays, especially with my connection to Townsville, that would be awesome. See you soon!

Hey!!! happy new year!! ya i had a pretty awesome christmas with the fam. it snowed a ton which made it sweet for skiing. my friend showed me this website the other day that was "all the things in australia that can kill you." i thought it was pretty funny but my mom....not so much haha. i am so stoked only 8 more sleeps until i am on my way!!!
